Natural meeting places
There are lots of marvellous areas on Hallands Väderö, some of them quite big. Our concept focuses on conference walks around the island, but sometimes you need a break. Large groups often find strategic stops for discussions and team exercises very worthwhile. Perhaps you just want to relax a bit, listen to nature and enjoy the nice surroundings. We recommend the following five places on the island:
Sandhamn
Coming from Torekov to Hallands Väderö we will land at Sandhamn. Here is plenty of room and most of our guests organise themselves and their day before they start walking. Tables, benches and basic-standard toilets make Sandhamn a popular place for lunch. If you are planning an outdoor meeting Sandhamn is perfect for small as well as big groups. Our conference walks always depart from Sandhamn.
Lilla Sandhamn
Next to Sandhamn you will find Lilla Sandhamn. This little cove with its pretty beach and views of the glittering sea is immensely popular in the spring. A perfect place for small groups that want to unite the team to the sound of waves against the shore.
The Lighthouse
No doubt this is the most brilliant place of the island for a break. The Lighthouse on Hallands Väderö is a permanent feature since 1884. The view of the sea is breathtaking, if you ask us. Shades of green and blue mingle, and with some luck you may spot a seal or two playing in the water just below the rocks on the shore. The generous expanses are perfect for large groups wanting to let loose their creativity and come up with bright ideas.
Grönbetet / Pastureland
Between Sandhamn and the Lighthouse lies a big, lush, green area. In the summer it is pastureland for sheep from the mainland. They are very popular with the tourists, visiting the island in the summer months. The healing powers of nature will trigger all your senses. A brainstorming session by ”The Think Tree” a nice spring day is hard to beat. Leave your co-workers at Grönbetet and give them creative freedom.
Kappelhamnsslätten / Kappelhamn Plain
Hallands Väderö has two harbours. Our conference walks always start at Sandhamn, but we can really recommend Kappelhamnsslätten as an area for meetings as well as resting. Many of our guests give a final touch to their cases/questions at Sandhamn. Walking towards Kappelhamnsslätten they are inspired by the beautiful surroundings, like Kappelhamn and the charming little Hallands Väderö archipelago. A perfect setting for our green conferences.
